How To Uninstall pgplot5 On Debian 9

To uninstall pgplot5 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just pgplot5

large subroutine library for plotting scientific dataDebian 9.0non-free/math5.2.2-19.3
sudo apt-get remove pgplot5

This will remove just the pgplot5 package itself.

Uninstall pgplot5 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove pgplot5

This will remove the pgplot5 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for pgplot5 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge pgplot5

Or similarly, like this pgplot5

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove pgplot5
