How To Uninstall yale On Debian 9

To uninstall yale just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just yale

stellar data set from the Yale Bright Star CatalogDebian 9.0non-free/science5.0.95-2
sudo apt-get remove yale

This will remove just the yale package itself.

Uninstall yale and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove yale

This will remove the yale package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for yale then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge yale

Or similarly, like this yale

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove yale
