How To Uninstall libxnvctrl0 On Debian 7

To uninstall libxnvctrl0 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libxnvctrl0

NV-CONTROL X extension (runtime library)Debian 7.0contrib/libs304.88-1
sudo apt-get remove libxnvctrl0

This will remove just the libxnvctrl0 package itself.

Uninstall libxnvctrl0 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libxnvctrl0

This will remove the libxnvctrl0 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libxnvctrl0 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libxnvctrl0

Or similarly, like this libxnvctrl0

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libxnvctrl0
