How To Uninstall backup-manager On Debian 7

To uninstall backup-manager just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just backup-manager

command-line backup toolDebian 7.0admin0.7.10.1-2
sudo apt-get remove backup-manager

This will remove just the backup-manager package itself.

Uninstall backup-manager and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove backup-manager

This will remove the backup-manager package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for backup-manager then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge backup-manager

Or similarly, like this backup-manager

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove backup-manager
