How To Uninstall cernlib-base-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall cernlib-base-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cernlib-base-dev

CERNLIB data analysis suite - dependencies checking scriptDebian 7.0devel20061220+dfsg3-2
sudo apt-get remove cernlib-base-dev

This will remove just the cernlib-base-dev package itself.

Uninstall cernlib-base-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cernlib-base-dev

This will remove the cernlib-base-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cernlib-base-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cernlib-base-dev

Or similarly, like this cernlib-base-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cernlib-base-dev
