How To Uninstall faad2-dbg On Debian 7

To uninstall faad2-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just faad2-dbg

freeware Advanced Audio Decoder - debugging symbolsDebian 7.0debug2.7-8
sudo apt-get remove faad2-dbg

This will remove just the faad2-dbg package itself.

Uninstall faad2-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove faad2-dbg

This will remove the faad2-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for faad2-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge faad2-dbg

Or similarly, like this faad2-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove faad2-dbg
