How To Uninstall fcitx-pinyin On Debian 7

To uninstall fcitx-pinyin just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fcitx-pinyin

Flexible Input Method Framework - classic Pinyin engineDebian 7.0utils1:4.2.4.1-7
sudo apt-get remove fcitx-pinyin

This will remove just the fcitx-pinyin package itself.

Uninstall fcitx-pinyin and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fcitx-pinyin

This will remove the fcitx-pinyin package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fcitx-pinyin then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fcitx-pinyin

Or similarly, like this fcitx-pinyin

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fcitx-pinyin
