How To Uninstall i965-va-driver-dbg On Debian 7

To uninstall i965-va-driver-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just i965-va-driver-dbg

VAAPI driver for Intel G45 & HD Graphics family (debug symbols)Debian 7.0debug1.0.17-1
sudo apt-get remove i965-va-driver-dbg

This will remove just the i965-va-driver-dbg package itself.

Uninstall i965-va-driver-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove i965-va-driver-dbg

This will remove the i965-va-driver-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for i965-va-driver-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge i965-va-driver-dbg

Or similarly, like this i965-va-driver-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove i965-va-driver-dbg
