How To Uninstall jabref On Debian 7

To uninstall jabref just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jabref

graphical frontend to manage BibTeX databasesDebian 7.0tex2.7~beta1+ds-6
sudo apt-get remove jabref

This will remove just the jabref package itself.

Uninstall jabref and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jabref

This will remove the jabref package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jabref then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jabref

Or similarly, like this jabref

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jabref
