How To Uninstall jackd1 On Debian 7

To uninstall jackd1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jackd1

JACK Audio Connection Kit (server and example clients)Debian 7.0sound1:0.121.3+20120418git75e3e20b-2.1
sudo apt-get remove jackd1

This will remove just the jackd1 package itself.

Uninstall jackd1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jackd1

This will remove the jackd1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jackd1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jackd1

Or similarly, like this jackd1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jackd1
