How To Uninstall jcal On Debian 7

To uninstall jcal just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jcal

UNIX-cal-like tool to display Jalali calendarDebian 7.0utils0.4.0-1.1
sudo apt-get remove jcal

This will remove just the jcal package itself.

Uninstall jcal and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jcal

This will remove the jcal package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jcal then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jcal

Or similarly, like this jcal

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jcal
