How To Uninstall jekyll On Debian 7

To uninstall jekyll just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jekyll

Simple, blog aware, static site generatorDebian 7.0ruby0.11.2-1
sudo apt-get remove jekyll

This will remove just the jekyll package itself.

Uninstall jekyll and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jekyll

This will remove the jekyll package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jekyll then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jekyll

Or similarly, like this jekyll

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jekyll
