How To Uninstall jellyfish On Debian 7

To uninstall jellyfish just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jellyfish

count k-mers in DNA sequencesDebian 7.0science1.1.5-1
sudo apt-get remove jellyfish

This will remove just the jellyfish package itself.

Uninstall jellyfish and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jellyfish

This will remove the jellyfish package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jellyfish then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jellyfish

Or similarly, like this jellyfish

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jellyfish
