How To Uninstall jgit-cli On Debian 7

To uninstall jgit-cli just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jgit-cli

Java implementation of GIT version control (command line interface)Debian 7.0devel2.0.0-2
sudo apt-get remove jgit-cli

This will remove just the jgit-cli package itself.

Uninstall jgit-cli and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jgit-cli

This will remove the jgit-cli package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jgit-cli then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jgit-cli

Or similarly, like this jgit-cli

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jgit-cli
