How To Uninstall jhead On Debian 7

To uninstall jhead just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jhead

manipulate the non-image part of Exif compliant JPEG filesDebian 7.0graphics1:2.95-1
sudo apt-get remove jhead

This will remove just the jhead package itself.

Uninstall jhead and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jhead

This will remove the jhead package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jhead then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jhead

Or similarly, like this jhead

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jhead
