How To Uninstall jigit On Debian 7

To uninstall jigit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jigit

tools for working with jigdo filesDebian 7.0utils1.19-1
sudo apt-get remove jigit

This will remove just the jigit package itself.

Uninstall jigit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jigit

This will remove the jigit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jigit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jigit

Or similarly, like this jigit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jigit
