How To Uninstall jmeter-java On Debian 7

To uninstall jmeter-java just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jmeter-java

Load testing and performance measurement application (java module)Debian 7.0net2.5.1-1
sudo apt-get remove jmeter-java

This will remove just the jmeter-java package itself.

Uninstall jmeter-java and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jmeter-java

This will remove the jmeter-java package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jmeter-java then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jmeter-java

Or similarly, like this jmeter-java

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jmeter-java
