How To Uninstall jmeter On Debian 7

To uninstall jmeter just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jmeter

Load testing and performance measurement application (main application)Debian 7.0net2.5.1-1
sudo apt-get remove jmeter

This will remove just the jmeter package itself.

Uninstall jmeter and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jmeter

This will remove the jmeter package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jmeter then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jmeter

Or similarly, like this jmeter

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jmeter
