How To Uninstall john-data On Debian 7

To uninstall john-data just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just john-data

active password cracking tool - character setsDebian 7.0admin1.7.8-1
sudo apt-get remove john-data

This will remove just the john-data package itself.

Uninstall john-data and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove john-data

This will remove the john-data package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for john-data then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge john-data

Or similarly, like this john-data

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove john-data
