How To Uninstall liballegro4.2-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall liballegro4.2-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just liballegro4.2-dev

development files for the Allegro libraryDebian 7.0libdevel2:4.4.2-2.1
sudo apt-get remove liballegro4.2-dev

This will remove just the liballegro4.2-dev package itself.

Uninstall liballegro4.2-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove liballegro4.2-dev

This will remove the liballegro4.2-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for liballegro4.2-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge liballegro4.2-dev

Or similarly, like this liballegro4.2-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove liballegro4.2-dev
