How To Uninstall libamu4 On Debian 7

To uninstall libamu4 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libamu4

Support library for amd the 4.4BSD automounter (runtime)Debian 7.0libs6.2+rc20110530-3
sudo apt-get remove libamu4

This will remove just the libamu4 package itself.

Uninstall libamu4 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libamu4

This will remove the libamu4 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libamu4 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libamu4

Or similarly, like this libamu4

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libamu4
