How To Uninstall libautomaton-java On Debian 7

To uninstall libautomaton-java just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libautomaton-java

Finite-State Automaton for Regular ExpressionsDebian 7.0java1.11-8-1
sudo apt-get remove libautomaton-java

This will remove just the libautomaton-java package itself.

Uninstall libautomaton-java and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libautomaton-java

This will remove the libautomaton-java package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libautomaton-java then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libautomaton-java

Or similarly, like this libautomaton-java

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libautomaton-java
