How To Uninstall libavahi-glib-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libavahi-glib-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libavahi-glib-dev

Development headers for the Avahi GLib integration libraryDebian 7.0libdevel0.6.31-2
sudo apt-get remove libavahi-glib-dev

This will remove just the libavahi-glib-dev package itself.

Uninstall libavahi-glib-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libavahi-glib-dev

This will remove the libavahi-glib-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libavahi-glib-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libavahi-glib-dev

Or similarly, like this libavahi-glib-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libavahi-glib-dev
