How To Uninstall libbeecrypt-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libbeecrypt-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libbeecrypt-dev

header files for beecrypt, a library of cryptographic algorithmsDebian 7.0libdevel4.2.1-4
sudo apt-get remove libbeecrypt-dev

This will remove just the libbeecrypt-dev package itself.

Uninstall libbeecrypt-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libbeecrypt-dev

This will remove the libbeecrypt-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libbeecrypt-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libbeecrypt-dev

Or similarly, like this libbeecrypt-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libbeecrypt-dev
