How To Uninstall libc6-dbg On Debian 7

To uninstall libc6-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libc6-dbg

Embedded GNU C LibraryDebian 7.0debug2.13-38+deb7u10
sudo apt-get remove libc6-dbg

This will remove just the libc6-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libc6-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libc6-dbg

This will remove the libc6-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libc6-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libc6-dbg

Or similarly, like this libc6-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libc6-dbg
