How To Uninstall libcpufreq-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libcpufreq-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcpufreq-dev

development files to deal with the cpufreq Linux kernel featureDebian 7.0libdevel008-1
sudo apt-get remove libcpufreq-dev

This will remove just the libcpufreq-dev package itself.

Uninstall libcpufreq-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcpufreq-dev

This will remove the libcpufreq-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcpufreq-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcpufreq-dev

Or similarly, like this libcpufreq-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcpufreq-dev
