How To Uninstall libctdb-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libctdb-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libctdb-dev

clustered database to store temporary data -- development filesDebian 7.0libdevel1.12+git20120201-5
sudo apt-get remove libctdb-dev

This will remove just the libctdb-dev package itself.

Uninstall libctdb-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libctdb-dev

This will remove the libctdb-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libctdb-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libctdb-dev

Or similarly, like this libctdb-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libctdb-dev
