How To Uninstall libdevhelp-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libdevhelp-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libdevhelp-dev

Library providing documentation browser functionality (development)Debian 7.0libdevel3.4.1-1
sudo apt-get remove libdevhelp-dev

This will remove just the libdevhelp-dev package itself.

Uninstall libdevhelp-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdevhelp-dev

This will remove the libdevhelp-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libdevhelp-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libdevhelp-dev

Or similarly, like this libdevhelp-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdevhelp-dev
