How To Uninstall libdevil1c2 On Debian 7

To uninstall libdevil1c2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libdevil1c2

Cross-platform image loading and manipulation toolkitDebian 7.0libs1.7.8-6.1+b1
sudo apt-get remove libdevil1c2

This will remove just the libdevil1c2 package itself.

Uninstall libdevil1c2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdevil1c2

This will remove the libdevil1c2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libdevil1c2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libdevil1c2

Or similarly, like this libdevil1c2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdevil1c2
