How To Uninstall libdns-ruby On Debian 7

To uninstall libdns-ruby just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libdns-ruby

Ruby DNS client library (dummy package)Debian 7.0ruby1.53-1
sudo apt-get remove libdns-ruby

This will remove just the libdns-ruby package itself.

Uninstall libdns-ruby and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdns-ruby

This will remove the libdns-ruby package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libdns-ruby then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libdns-ruby

Or similarly, like this libdns-ruby

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdns-ruby
