How To Uninstall libecal1.2-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libecal1.2-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libecal1.2-dev

Client library for evolution calendars (development files)Debian 7.0libdevel3.4.4-3+deb7u1
sudo apt-get remove libecal1.2-dev

This will remove just the libecal1.2-dev package itself.

Uninstall libecal1.2-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libecal1.2-dev

This will remove the libecal1.2-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libecal1.2-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libecal1.2-dev

Or similarly, like this libecal1.2-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libecal1.2-dev
