How To Uninstall libexodusii-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libexodusii-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libexodusii-dev

exodusII datamodel for finite element analysisDebian 7.0libdevel5.14.dfsg.1-2+b1
sudo apt-get remove libexodusii-dev

This will remove just the libexodusii-dev package itself.

Uninstall libexodusii-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libexodusii-dev

This will remove the libexodusii-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libexodusii-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libexodusii-dev

Or similarly, like this libexodusii-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libexodusii-dev
