How To Uninstall libfreeipmi-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libfreeipmi-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libfreeipmi-dev

GNU IPMI - development packageDebian 7.0libdevel1.1.5-3
sudo apt-get remove libfreeipmi-dev

This will remove just the libfreeipmi-dev package itself.

Uninstall libfreeipmi-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libfreeipmi-dev

This will remove the libfreeipmi-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libfreeipmi-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libfreeipmi-dev

Or similarly, like this libfreeipmi-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libfreeipmi-dev
