How To Uninstall libfreexl1 On Debian 7

To uninstall libfreexl1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libfreexl1

library for direct reading of Microsoft Excel spreadsheetsDebian 7.0libs1.0.0b-1+deb7u3
sudo apt-get remove libfreexl1

This will remove just the libfreexl1 package itself.

Uninstall libfreexl1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libfreexl1

This will remove the libfreexl1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libfreexl1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libfreexl1

Or similarly, like this libfreexl1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libfreexl1
