How To Uninstall libgconf2-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libgconf2-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgconf2-dev

GNOME configuration database system (development)Debian 7.0libdevel3.2.5-1+build1
sudo apt-get remove libgconf2-dev

This will remove just the libgconf2-dev package itself.

Uninstall libgconf2-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgconf2-dev

This will remove the libgconf2-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgconf2-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgconf2-dev

Or similarly, like this libgconf2-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgconf2-dev
