How To Uninstall libgcrypt11 On Debian 7

To uninstall libgcrypt11 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgcrypt11

LGPL Crypto library - runtime libraryDebian 7.0libs1.5.0-5+deb7u4
sudo apt-get remove libgcrypt11

This will remove just the libgcrypt11 package itself.

Uninstall libgcrypt11 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgcrypt11

This will remove the libgcrypt11 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgcrypt11 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgcrypt11

Or similarly, like this libgcrypt11

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgcrypt11
