How To Uninstall libgdb-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libgdb-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgdb-dev

The GNU Debugger (libgdb.a)Debian 7.0libdevel7.4.1+dfsg-0.1
sudo apt-get remove libgdb-dev

This will remove just the libgdb-dev package itself.

Uninstall libgdb-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgdb-dev

This will remove the libgdb-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgdb-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgdb-dev

Or similarly, like this libgdb-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgdb-dev
