How To Uninstall libgdcm2-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libgdcm2-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgdcm2-dev

Grassroots DICOM development libraries and headersDebian 7.0libdevel2.2.0-14.1
sudo apt-get remove libgdcm2-dev

This will remove just the libgdcm2-dev package itself.

Uninstall libgdcm2-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgdcm2-dev

This will remove the libgdcm2-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgdcm2-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgdcm2-dev

Or similarly, like this libgdcm2-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgdcm2-dev
