How To Uninstall libgdcm2.2 On Debian 7

To uninstall libgdcm2.2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgdcm2.2

Grassroots DICOM runtime librariesDebian 7.0libs2.2.0-14.1
sudo apt-get remove libgdcm2.2

This will remove just the libgdcm2.2 package itself.

Uninstall libgdcm2.2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgdcm2.2

This will remove the libgdcm2.2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgdcm2.2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgdcm2.2

Or similarly, like this libgdcm2.2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgdcm2.2
