How To Uninstall libgearman6 On Debian 7

To uninstall libgearman6 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgearman6

Library providing Gearman client and worker functionsDebian 7.0libs0.33-2
sudo apt-get remove libgearman6

This will remove just the libgearman6 package itself.

Uninstall libgearman6 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgearman6

This will remove the libgearman6 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgearman6 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgearman6

Or similarly, like this libgearman6

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgearman6
