How To Uninstall libgecode-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libgecode-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgecode-dev

generic constraint development environmentDebian 7.0libdevel3.7.3-1
sudo apt-get remove libgecode-dev

This will remove just the libgecode-dev package itself.

Uninstall libgecode-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgecode-dev

This will remove the libgecode-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgecode-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgecode-dev

Or similarly, like this libgecode-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgecode-dev
