How To Uninstall libgeos-c1 On Debian 7

To uninstall libgeos-c1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgeos-c1

Geometry engine for Geographic Information Systems - C LibraryDebian 7.0libs3.3.3-1.1
sudo apt-get remove libgeos-c1

This will remove just the libgeos-c1 package itself.

Uninstall libgeos-c1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgeos-c1

This will remove the libgeos-c1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgeos-c1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgeos-c1

Or similarly, like this libgeos-c1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgeos-c1
