How To Uninstall libgexiv2-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libgexiv2-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgexiv2-dev

GObject-based wrapper around the Exiv2 library (development files)Debian 7.0libdevel0.4.1-3
sudo apt-get remove libgexiv2-dev

This will remove just the libgexiv2-dev package itself.

Uninstall libgexiv2-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgexiv2-dev

This will remove the libgexiv2-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgexiv2-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgexiv2-dev

Or similarly, like this libgexiv2-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgexiv2-dev
