How To Uninstall libgoogle-perftools4 On Debian 7

To uninstall libgoogle-perftools4 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgoogle-perftools4

libraries for CPU and heap analysis, plus an efficient thread-caching mallocDebian 7.0libs2.0-2
sudo apt-get remove libgoogle-perftools4

This will remove just the libgoogle-perftools4 package itself.

Uninstall libgoogle-perftools4 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgoogle-perftools4

This will remove the libgoogle-perftools4 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgoogle-perftools4 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgoogle-perftools4

Or similarly, like this libgoogle-perftools4

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgoogle-perftools4
