How To Uninstall libipmimonitoring5 On Debian 7

To uninstall libipmimonitoring5 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libipmimonitoring5

GNU IPMI - Sensor monitoring libraryDebian 7.0libs1.1.5-3
sudo apt-get remove libipmimonitoring5

This will remove just the libipmimonitoring5 package itself.

Uninstall libipmimonitoring5 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libipmimonitoring5

This will remove the libipmimonitoring5 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libipmimonitoring5 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libipmimonitoring5

Or similarly, like this libipmimonitoring5

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libipmimonitoring5
