How To Uninstall libmysqlclient18 On Debian 7

To uninstall libmysqlclient18 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libmysqlclient18

MySQL database client libraryDebian 7.0libs5.5.47-0+deb7u1
sudo apt-get remove libmysqlclient18

This will remove just the libmysqlclient18 package itself.

Uninstall libmysqlclient18 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libmysqlclient18

This will remove the libmysqlclient18 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libmysqlclient18 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libmysqlclient18

Or similarly, like this libmysqlclient18

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libmysqlclient18
