How To Uninstall libpacklib1-gfortran On Debian 7

To uninstall libpacklib1-gfortran just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libpacklib1-gfortran

CERNLIB data analysis suite - core libraryDebian 7.0libs20061220+dfsg3-2
sudo apt-get remove libpacklib1-gfortran

This will remove just the libpacklib1-gfortran package itself.

Uninstall libpacklib1-gfortran and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libpacklib1-gfortran

This will remove the libpacklib1-gfortran package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libpacklib1-gfortran then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libpacklib1-gfortran

Or similarly, like this libpacklib1-gfortran

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libpacklib1-gfortran
