How To Uninstall libsidl1.4.0-java On Debian 7

To uninstall libsidl1.4.0-java just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libsidl1.4.0-java

Scientific Interface Definition Language (SIDL) Java runtimeDebian 7.0java1.4.0.dfsg-8.1
sudo apt-get remove libsidl1.4.0-java

This will remove just the libsidl1.4.0-java package itself.

Uninstall libsidl1.4.0-java and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libsidl1.4.0-java

This will remove the libsidl1.4.0-java package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libsidl1.4.0-java then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libsidl1.4.0-java

Or similarly, like this libsidl1.4.0-java

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libsidl1.4.0-java
