How To Uninstall libsocksd0-dev On Debian 7

To uninstall libsocksd0-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libsocksd0-dev

Development files for compiling programs with SOCKS supportDebian 7.0libdevel1.1.19.dfsg-3+b3
sudo apt-get remove libsocksd0-dev

This will remove just the libsocksd0-dev package itself.

Uninstall libsocksd0-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libsocksd0-dev

This will remove the libsocksd0-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libsocksd0-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libsocksd0-dev

Or similarly, like this libsocksd0-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libsocksd0-dev
