How To Uninstall libsybdb5 On Debian 7

To uninstall libsybdb5 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libsybdb5

libraries for connecting to MS SQL and Sybase SQL serversDebian 7.0libs0.91-2+deb7u1
sudo apt-get remove libsybdb5

This will remove just the libsybdb5 package itself.

Uninstall libsybdb5 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libsybdb5

This will remove the libsybdb5 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libsybdb5 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libsybdb5

Or similarly, like this libsybdb5

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libsybdb5
